WDLT Employee Handbook

ADDITIONAL PAID TIME OFF

Employees must notify their manager of the need for bereavement leave as soon as

possible. Bereavement leave must be tracked in Paycom and must be entered by

either the employee themselves through a time off request, or the employee’s

manager on the timecard.

Employees may be required to provide documentation to support the bereavement

leave request, such as a death certificate, obituary, or notice of funeral service.

Part-time and per-diem employees are not eligible for bereavement leave.

JURY DUTY

Employees working an average of thirty (30) hours per week are entitled to their

regular wages for the first five (5) days of any missed scheduled shifts, up to a

maximum of eight (8) hours per day, because of jury duty. For jury duty exceeding

five (5) days, employees may be paid by the state of Connecticut.

Employees must provide their jury duty notice to their manager or Human

Resources and any time off due to jury duty must be tracked in Paycom. Either the

employee themselves can request jury duty time through a time off request, or the

employee’s manager on the timecard. Managers should send jury duty notices to

Human Resources upon receipt.

If an employee is released early from jury duty or if their jury duty is canceled on a

given day, they are expected to return to work if there are four (4) or more hours

remaining in their scheduled workday. If less than four hours remain, the employee

is not required to return to work but must notify their manager of their availability
