COMPLAINT PROCEDURE
Policy Scope
Provide a consistent and impartial procedure for employees to discuss concerns or
problems which arise in the workplace.
Policy/Policy Definitions
This policy is applicable to all team members including employees, whether they are
seasonal, full-time, part-time, or per-diem staff, as well as consultants, etc. The
term “employee” used throughout this policy represents all those noted.
Employees can initiate the complaint procedure when they feel:
They have been victims of workplace harassment
Their health and safety have been compromised
They have witnessed poor supervision or management behavior
They have been subject to an adverse employment action, i.e., disciplinary
action, termination, or demotion
Policies and procedures have not been followed
There is a dispute between co-workers and/or managers
Any other matters relating to employment
Issues/Offenses not Eligible for Complaint Process:
This option is not available to employees who have been disciplined/terminated for
the following reasons:
Substantiated abuse and/or neglect, including financial
Theft (property, time (falsification of timecards), money, agency resources, etc.
Failure to maintain training or med-certification
Driving violations
Zero tolerance policy violation
Substantiated findings through investigation
Employees in their initial probationary period (first 60-days of hire)
