HOURS OF WORK
Unpaid Time Off (UTO)
Eligible employees are granted Paid-Time-Off (PTO) according to our accrual policy
and their designated pay class. Employees should utilize their awarded time
according to their needs for time off from work and by following our company
policies. Employees should carefully plan and monitor their PTO usage.
Unpaid time off is not allowed and may result in disciplinary action including and
up to termination per our Attendance Policy.
Calling Out for the Same Day(s)/Time(s) as Denied Time-Off Request
If an employee calls out for the same date and time originally requested and denied,
regardless of how much notice they provide, disciplinary action will result including
and up to termination.
For example, if an employee requested to use PTO for their Monday and Tuesday
work shifts but was denied, the employee calls-out of work, regardless of how much
notice they provide, they will receive an occurrence and disciplinary action
including and up to termination.
Scheduling
Employees are scheduled based on business needs and required staffing levels.
Employees are required to work their scheduled hours unless they have received the
manager or designee approval to do otherwise. Those that do not work their
scheduled hours are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
In direct care positions, department managers can mandate a different schedule
(either temporary or permanent) for an employee at any time when needed, with or
without notice. Any direct care employee who refuses a mandated schedule change
will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.
