EMPLOYEE SEPARATION

Policy Scope

The Employee Separation Policy outlines the procedures and expectations for both

voluntary and involuntary termination of employment.

Policy and Policy Definitions

This policy applies to all employees of We Do Life...Together (WDLT), regardless of

their employment status (full-time, part-time, or per-diem/substitute).

Human Resources representative or manager to discuss the employees’ reasons

for leaving, their experiences at WDLT, and provide feedback.

Involuntary Termination: Any separation initiated by WDLT due to reasons

such as performance, conduct, attendance, violation of company policy, or

business necessity (e.g., layoff, redundancy).

Job Abandonment: Any employee who is a No-Call/No-Show for three

consecutive work shifts. Job abandonment is considered a voluntary resignation

with a designation of not eligible for rehire.

Sick Leave Law to be used for specific reasons outlined by state law.

Per-Diem/Substitute Employee: An employee who works on an as-needed,

irregular, or occasional basis, typically without a set schedule or guaranteed

hours, and who is not eligible for the same benefits as full-time or regular part-

time employees.

Resignation: A voluntary act by an employee to end their employment with

WDLT.

Voluntary Termination: Any separation initiated by the employee (e.g.,
