MANDATED REPORTER
Confidentiality:
All reports of suspected abuse or neglect will be handled confidentially. The identity
of the reporter will be kept confidential, unless disclosure is required by law.
Immunity from Liability:
Employees, contractors, and interns who report suspected abuse or neglect in good
faith are protected from civil and criminal liability under Connecticut state law.
Failure to Report:
Failure to report suspected or witnessed abuse or neglect as mandated by law and
this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of
employment, and may also result in legal consequences.
Training:
All employees and interns are required to complete mandated reporter training
annually to ensure compliance with this policy and the laws of the state of
Connecticut.
