We are excited about our upcoming 43rd Annual Hispanic Awards Banquet!
The theme "Hope Grows Here" beautifully captures the spirit of celebrating and recognizing the
contributions of families, individuals, and youth to the community.
This year, we celebrate our Latino community's resilience and vibrant culture by recognizing
families, individuals, and youth for their stellar contributions to the community.
In addition, we use this Hispanic Awards Banquet to fundraise and help fund the many UMOS
festivals and events. Through your support, we can continue organizing memorable experiences
for our community. Your donation or sponsorship of our event goes directly towards covering the
costs of venue rentals, artist fees, equipment rentals, and other expenses that ensure the success
of this event and other festivities UMOS offers throughout the year.
By attending our event and actively participating in our fundraising or sponsorship efforts, you
significantly impact the local arts, support our local retailers, and enrich our cultural scene. Your
investment in our community's growth and vibrancy allows us to bring talented artists,
musicians, and performers to our festivals, creating an enriching atmosphere for all attendees.
We recognize that these festivals and events are only possible with the support of individuals like
you. Your donations are crucial in sustaining our organization's festivals and events and allowing
us to continue promoting cultural diversity and creativity within our community. We call it hope
and celebration!
Furthermore, it is essential to note that your contributions are not solely monetary. We greatly
appreciate the dedication and time volunteered by individuals who assist in organizing and
running the events. Your involvement helps create a sense of unity and togetherness, making
each festival an extraordinary occasion for everyone involved.
In closing, we want to express our deepest gratitude to all of you for your invaluable contributions
to our fundraising efforts and, most importantly, your unwavering support by attending this
event. We couldn't do it without you!
Warm regards,
Interim CEO
In 1965, UMOS was formed by community and faith leaders who recognized the unmet
needs and aspirations of migrant and seasonal farmworkers. Today, UMOS's mission
extends beyond its origins, reaching individuals of all ethnic, racial, and linguistic
backgrounds who struggle to meet their needs. We aim to help them 'Build Better Futures'
for themselves and their families. This mission is made possible by the diverse and
widespread support of individual and institutional philanthropists, federal, state, and local
government agencies, employers, and other nonprofit partners. Together, we serve
thousands of families across Wisconsin, Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Florida, Minnesota, and
seven other states through partners.
