SOUTH AFRICAN

LIFESTYLE

MANY REASONS TO INVEST IN SOUTH AFRICA

1. DIVERSITY

Known as the “Rainbow Nation”, SA is one of the most

diverse, cosmopolitan countries in the world, a melting

pot with a high level of democracy and tolerance for

different Constitutions in the world, and our history and

background predisposes us to accept and embrace

people of different cultures not only from the rest of

Africa but from the rest of the world.

2. CLIMATE

SA is known to have one of the most “liveable” climates

in the world, with plenty of sunshine and fresh air. The

southwest corner, including the city of Cape Town, has

a Mediterranean climate with long warm and dry

summers and rain during its mild winters. The interior

of the country, including the cities of Johannesburg

and Pretoria, generally enjoys warm sunny days and

cool nights, with blue skies even in winter and rainfall

occurring after hot summer afternoons. The east coast,

including the city of Durban, is more sub-tropical and a

favourite holiday destination because of its warm high

summer in December and January. making it attractive to

many investors who buy holiday homes in SA to escape

the northern winters.

3. LIFESTYLE

Home-owners in SA enjoy a lifestyle almost unparalleled

in the rest of the world, at a much lower cost. In general

South Africans are fun-loving, relaxed and very hospitable

neighbours, and the country also offers a huge range

of both indoor and outdoor activities to enjoy. Many

of our top lifestyle estates have their own golf courses

and equestrian centres, for example, as well as sports

centres with tennis, squash and swimming facilties, and

wellness spas offering world-class beauty and health

treatments. Designer shopping, fabulous cuisine, sailing,

watersports and wildlife safaris are also all part of the

luxury lifestyle in SA, which boasts three of the richest

cities in Africa, and around 40 000 citizens who are dollar

millionaires.

4. SCENIC BEAUTY

SA is known as “World in One Country” for good

reason. Whether you prefer endless beaches, tumbling

waterfalls, rolling grasslands, massive mountains, autumn

colours in the Winelands, sunsets over the sea or the

stark beauty of stars over the desert, this country

has it all. It offers many wide open spaces and truly

spectacular vistas to please the eye, and many

people from around the world have chosen to buy their

second homes here just for this reason.

5. VALUE FOR MONEY

Property in SA offers the investor exceptionally good

value for money. One can purchase a range of exceptional

properties, including family villas in exclusive suburbs such

as Camps Bay, Constantia, Hyde Park and Sandhurst,

luxury penthouse apartments in, Johannesburg, Cape

Town or Durban, and gracious homes in coastal, country

and lifestyle estates across the country.

6. EXPERTISE AND TRUST

As a South African representative of Leading Real Estate

Companies of the World® and the exclusive Luxury

Portfolio International®, you can rely on Chas Everitt

International to provide you with expert solutions to

your property needs in SA and the highest degree of

professional service. Our company is founded on a

family real estate dynasty renowned for its integrity and

is over 40 years old.

the marketplace, we can help clients relocate to any town

or city in South Africa, or around the world through our

GAUTENG

Gauteng means ‘Place Of Gold’ in the Sotho language,

a foreword to the prosperity and vibrancy of this the

capital of Africa. At the heart of Johannesburg is Sandton,

an affluent area with its suburbs, Bryanston, Morningside,

Hyde Park, Sandown and Sandhurst. Popularly known as

the richest square mile in Africa. Sandton is a popular spot

to live, work and play for both locals and tourists alike.

Besides being the home of Nelson Mandela, Houghton

adds enormous historical value to Johannesburg and

boasts many luxurious upper class homes, a few tall

residential buildings and of course a spectacular golf

course.

A newer addition is Randburg, popular with locals who

enjoy easy access to all of the Johannesburg’s highlights.

To the west of Johannesburg are the many suburbs of

Roodepoort and Krugersdorp. There are a lot of open

spaces, entertainment and amusement facilities. Living in

the west has the privilege of exploring a number of nature

havens where you can go escape from the confines of the

city and appreciate the grandeur of Mother Nature.

On the outskirts of Johannesburg is the Meyersdal Eco

Estate, one of the most upmarket and exclusive private

residential estates for the discerning individual insisting on

the highest standards of living, security and safety, while

enjoying the splendour of the natural environment. Closer

to Johannesburg is the affluent upmarket neighbourhood

of Bedfordview and surrounds which are quiet and a leafy

place to stay for anyone, almost park-like due to the

tree-lined streets and lush gardens with prolific bird life.

Step away from the madding crowd, away from the

bustling suburbs, and you will find an oasis known as

Eagle Canyon, a stronghold of calm and serenity with an

emphasis on community living. This luxurious housing

estate offers security, in an exclusive premium 18-hole golf

estate environment. A combination of carefully considered

aesthetics and meticulous planning makes this both an

aspiration, and an inspirational dream of many home-

buyers.

North of Johannesburg is Dainfern Golf Estate, which

offers a unparallelled lifestyle and recreational experience

centered around the Gary Player designed golf course

enhanced by nature trails, parks and sports facilities.

Heading further north is the beautiful development of

the Waterfall Country Estate, the nexus of a growing

residential and commercial node. The development is

extraordinary in offering developers and planners the

opportunity to create what will eventually become a

new ‘green’ city.

The city of Tshwane, formerly known as Pretoria. Tshwane

is the administrative capital of South Africa. Known as

“Jacaranda City”; for its thousands of jacaranda trees, it‘s

also home to universities and government buildings. The

hundreds of thousands of residents will attest to the

warmth and neighborly atmosphere of one of South

Africa’s oldest locations. The Exclusive Waterkloof Estate is

the ideal location offering quick access to Pretoria’s top

schools, excellent restaurants, shopping malls and top

golf courses.

Ths corner property is close to schools. Apart from the

bedrooms there is a study, lounge, dining room and

kitchen. The entertainment area with thatch roof lapa is

great for those who love to entertain. Large garden with

well kept sparkling pool. Additional parking of a carport
