New Works presents new lighting designs
LIGHT
THE
OF SPRING
That playful flicker of bright Spring light shining through
a window, or the warm glow that counters the progressing
darkness when a light is turned on at dusk. Sometimes, all
our surroundings need to feel fresh is a little light. And light
we shall bring you. Choosing icon over novelty, this Spring
launch celebrates coveted New Works lighting designs with
line extensions that focus on technical properties and tactile
materials. Distinct, yet familiar, each design explores new
features and functions while paying homage to the form and
feel of its predecessor. Their sculptural shapes accentuate
material meetings between the smooth and the crinkled, the
matte and glossy, the veined and unbroken.
Panter & Tourron takes the flowing, texture-rich shade of
their Tense pendant into new technical areas while extend
ing its application to multiple surfaces. The portable version
of Lars Tornøe’s Kizu table lamp offers additional features
in a smaller format, flaunting a petite figure and carefree
cable-free placement of light. Finally, a floor lamp joins the
Material series, completing this extensive lighting family. As
the warmer temperatures return, the great outdoors calls and
come June, the Sphere adventure light makes its entrance, il
luminating open-air adventures. You will discover our novel
ties mixed in with our existing collection across the following

Kizu Portable Table Lamp
Lars Tornøe
Balancing bold forms, the Kizu table lamp intrigues the eye
with its sculptural composition, and this portable version
of the lamp is no exception. Materials and expression are as
we know them, but this cordless, smaller size is easy to move
around where light is needed. With marble as the bearing
element, the lamp obtains natural stability and the polished
stone feels comfortable to the touch.

Lantern Lighting Series
Anderssen & Voll
The versatile Lantern series covers every
aspect of the contemporary interior, ranging from
pendants to floor lamps. Inspired by traditional Japanese
rice paper lanterns, the series features simple black steel
supports and fixing that allow the soft illumination of the
rippled glass globes to shine brightest.

Stretching to over one metre in length, the Tense pendant
lamp appears like a soft cloud has floated in. Its soft Tyvek
diffuser represents a material both durable and soft
– whilst being 100% recyclable. Finished with a slimline
LED light source, all components fit into a slim box for ease
of transport. A truly modern approach to lighting.

Tense Wall Lamp

In their Tense series for New Works, designers Panter &
Tourron explore aspects of material tension, giving life to
airy and flowing shapes. The dreamy cloud-like shade of
the Tense wall lamp softly diffuses the light and creates
a sculptural feel that suits a wide range of architectural
settings. When the light is on, the crinkled texture is
accentuated in a delicate exchange of light and shadow.

Tense Portable Table Lamp
Panter & Tourron
With advanced technical features and sensuous attributes,
designers Panther & Tourron put forward an aesthetic and
modern take on a table lamp. The battery-powered light
can easily be moved around where light is needed and both
colour temperature and brightness can be adjusted to the
desired ambiance. Charging is conducted with a magnetic
charging cable, which attaches seamlessly to the base and
can be left in without disturbing the look of the lamp.

Sphere Adventure Light
New Works Studio
Sphere is a sculptural luminous object that you can take
with you everywhere you go. With its geometric crescent
shape this portable light lends an air of mystery to its
surroundings, while offering long-lasting utility through
clever features. The lamp is water, dust, and impact-
resistant and features a light dimmer, and a strap for
holding or hanging the light. Take Sphere out onto the
balcony, patio, or on excursions to the forest, beach, or
park. This alluring lamp is ideal for outdoor gatherings
that last beyond dusk.

The Karl-Johan lighting series is inspired by excursions
into nature. A search for wild mushrooms. The tones of an
autumn forest. The soft yet distinct silhouettes of the line’s
pendants, wall lamps and table lamps are equally suited to
residential and hospitality settings.

Margin Lighting Series
John Astbury
The Margin lighting family is designer John Astbury’s
modern interpretation of a classic luminaire. Exploring a
tiered typology for lighting, Margin’s intersecting shades
gently diffuse the light and instantly set the tone with
warmth and tactility. The softness of the fabric is tempered
by a clean and graphic silhouette that lends a certain
presence and volume to a space.

Material series, completing this extensive lighting family.
Its sleek black frame places your chosen material front and
centre, while soft transitions in details and joints create a
beautiful whole. The Material floor lamp features a pivoting
head for an adjustable direct light, suitable for reading and
meticulous occupations. An ideal companion for your lounge
chair or sofa.

Functionally sitting between a lounger and an armchair,
Tembo’s extended arms invite you into its warm embrace.
Its unique form allows the Tembo lounge chair to be social,
while at the same time creating a space for reflection. The
big, soft elephants ear exterior provides a striking form,
while the choice of colours and textures can create a cosy
addition, or a bold statement piece.
