Wurzpott was founded in 2021 by Markus Grau and Kubru GmbH & Co. KG in
Waiblingen, Germany. They launched in the US in 2022, through a lifelong friendship
between Markus Grau and the President of their US company, Sam Bassan.
Sam’s parents worked for the US Army. They were stationed in Germany from 1980
to 1995, where Sam attended German schools. Markus and Sam met in 1990. They
quickly became best friends and promised to own a company together someday.
Between their passion for cuisine and recognizing the market need for more spices
with high quality ingredients, 32 years later, they turned their dream into reality
with the best spices and blends in the world.
