CONCLUSIONS

The oscillometric method of ABI is rapid and reliable in

the detection of LEAD in symptomatic patients. The LEAD

severity grading through the ABI calculation provides

additional information on the hemodynamic impact of the

disease on the lower limbs. ABI completed with US-

Doppler

determines

the

accuracy of

anatomical

and

functional diagnosis in LEAD and reduces the number of

additional expensive and / or invasive investigations.
