COMMUNICATION
First and foremost, we want to express our gratitude for choosing the Cartwright School District! We truly appreciate your trust in us
and are proud to have you as a part of our One Team, Una Familia!. Effective communication is crucial for our community, and we
strive to facilitate two-way communication between parents and the school district. Here are some ways we maintain communication:
1. Teacher Communication: It's essential to establish and maintain positive communication with your child's teacher, as they are
the first point of contact for any concerns or questions.
2. District Communication: We share stories, videos, photos, and messages via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. For
school-related messages, we communicate through phone calls, text alerts, and emails. Please make sure we have your updated
email address and phone number.
3. ParentVue: Teachers will communicate grades, missing assignments, etc., via ParentVue. We highly encourage you to create a
ParentVue account and attend our support sessions throughout the year.
4. ParentSquare: We are excited to announce that we will be using ParentSquare as our primary communication tool to keep
parents informed about their child's education. With ParentSquare, parents can receive important updates, and communicate
with teachers. This platform will streamline communication and ensure that parents are involved and up-to-date on all school
matters. We look forward to working together through ParentSquare to support your child's academic journey. Please ensure we
have your updated phone numbers and email address.
In case of any issues, please follow these steps:
1. Communicate with your child's teacher.
2. If unresolved, speak to the school administration.
3. If necessary, contact the district office at 623-691-4000.
For administrative matters, concerns, or general feedback, contact the Deputy Superintendent’s Office by calling (623) 691-4000, and
they will connect you with the Deputy Superintendent of Educational and Family Services. To get in touch with a teacher or staff
member at your school, refer to the front office numbers for all 20 of our schools, provided on the last page.
Emergency Alerts: In case of an emergency, we will send text alerts to ensure you are informed promptly about your child's safety.
Stay connected and informed by following us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

BEFORE SCHOOL AND AFTER SCHOOL SUPPORT
We know that it is important for some of our families to be able to transport their children to and from school while maintaining
employment. Therefore, we do have FREE before-school care at every school. Outside organizations such as City of Phoenix PAC
Program and the Boys and Girls Club offer afterschool care for a cost.
Before School Care
All Cartwright School District scholars in grades Kindergarten - 8th grade have access to free Before School Care. Each elementary,
middle, and K - 8 school will provide this service on school days (Monday - Thursday) beginning at 7:00 am and lasting through the
time the campus opens for all scholars to enter classrooms/ playgrounds. This structured Before School Care Program is supervised
by Cartwright School District Staff who have met all requirements to work directly with scholars. In order to begin taking part in this
program, families must first complete and return the registration paperwork to their school of attendance. Registration forms can be
obtained through the front office at each site or through email. Once the required paperwork is returned to the school's front office, it
will be processed as quickly as possible and families will be notified, by the school, when the scholar can begin attending the
Before School Program. Please be advised that parents/ guardians will be required to escort their scholar(s) to the Before School
Care location and physically sign-in their scholar(s). Scholars cannot be dropped off, but must be signed-in daily by the
parent/guardian for the safety and well-being of all. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact your scholar's front
office staff and site administration. Should you need further assistance, please contact the Cartwright School District Office at 623-
691-4000.
