LIBRARY CORNER

Library is the heart of an educational institution. Well-functioning heart keeps the body healthy

and lively. An efficient library creates a healthy education atmosphere

We encourage our students to visit our library often to enhance their reading habits. We have a

separate section of books as “Class Library in each class from Class I – XII”. Student can access those

books during their free periods in their classes. In our school library we have a separate library

period for all the classes from class III – XII. Weekly once students (From class VI) are allowed to

borrow the books from our library.

!part from reading, we have many activities in our library to enhance our student’s library visit

experience. We have planned to conduct “ST!R OF THE MONTH !CTIVITY” for each class from class

III – VIII.

STAR OF THE MONTH ACTIVITEIES – JULY 2024

FOR CLASS III – We taught our students on how to use a dictionary. A separate section of dictionaries

were kept in our library, where the students can refer the meanings of the unknown words. A game

was conducted in their library periods. Whoever finds out the meaning for the given word from the

dictionary first was selected as winners. Following are the winners

FOR CLASS IV – For our class IV students we had a reading competition. The story books were given

to the students. Whoever reads the story book properly without making mistakes, they were

selected as winners. Following are the winners in class IV

IV c – Kavin Krishna

FOR CLASS V – We induced the creativity of our students of class V and asked them to create their

own story and say it in front of the whole class. Students happily created their own story with moral

values. The best story tellers were

FOR CLASS VI – We had an innovative activity for class VI. Made the students to stand in a line,

where each student will say a book name, the next student will connect the previous student’s word

and say it, this was repeated with the whole class, where students can learn about more books and

author names, their concentration and memory power will be increased by these types of activities.

FOR CLASS VII We had a game called “ TRE!SURE HUNT” Where a book will be considered as a

treasure and it will be hiding somewhere in the library, students need to find out the treasure with

the help of given clues . Students happily participated in this game and following are the winners

VIII B – Ashvika. P

VIII C – Thaneshwar. U

FOR CLASS VIII We had a game called “ LIBR!RY CROSSWORD PUZZLE” the student were given a

crossword puzzle question paper, words related to library and books. Students were asked to solve

the puzzle with the clues given. The student who finished first with all the words correct were

selected as winners

These are the activities for our July month only, excited to play and learn many more fun activities

with our children in the forthcoming months.

FLOWERS, HONEY BEES ARE OUR STUDENTS, WHO MAKES OUR GARDEN

Annual Day for Middle and Senior Secondary classes were celebrated on July 26th 2024 at NARADA

GANA SABHA .
