LYRICS
Friday, August 30, 2024 @ 8pm
Set against the gritty backdrop of New
York City in 1987, "Lyrics" follows the
journey
of
young
hip-hop
artists
determined to rise above the harsh
realities of racism, abuse, and poverty.
As the crack cocaine epidemic ravages
their neighborhoods and the global
influence of hip-hop begins to swell,
these artists channel their struggles
into a powerful form of self-expression.
An original play by Winston A. Wilson
starring Jason Louder (Atlanta) **16+**

ANGRY BLACK WOMAN 101
Saturday, August 31, 2024 @ 2pm
Angry Black Woman 101 is a solo
show couched in a truthful and hurtful
work situation at a nonprofit. Kathryn
Seabron exposes how Black women
suffer through microaggressions and
are held to higher scrutiny in the
workplace, how their well-being is
never a consideration, and how white
tears
are
used
to
deflect
and
disenfranchise Black women.
Written/performed by Kathryn Seabron.
