At Pakenham Secondary College we are committed to
ensuring that the students who attend our College
leave with an appropriate qualification(s), together with
a pathway to further study and employment that is
important to them.
We are committed to ensure that we provide a tailored
approach to all of our students as they seek learning
and pathways opportunities that relate to their future
hopes and aspirations. We believe that our students
should be provided with as much choice as possible as
they move in to Year 10, including having access to a
range
of
options
including
a
Mainstream
Enhancement / Vocational Education & Training (VET)
Program,
various
School
Based
Apprenticeship
Training (SBAT) Programs and earlier access to a Year
11 subject, where appropriate.
In 2025, we have introduced greater choice to our Year
10 students and this is reflected in the information
shared as part of this Handbook. I encourage all
parents and students to become familiar with the
contents of this Handbook and to contact the College
should you have any queries. Furthermore, I urge
families to take up the opportunity to participate in
Course Counselling and Information Sessions that will
be made available to students and parents/carers.
As a College, we look forward to working with our
students in order to support them in achieving a
pathway and future that is important to them.
