HEALTH &

SAFETY

OUR HISTORY

It was back in 1898 when Edward Dickinson Bullard

furnished San Francisco gold and copper miners

with mining equipment. When his son E.W. Bullard

returned from World War I, E.W. and his father worked

together to pioneer equipment to keep miners safe

in the hazardous mines.

In 1919, E.W. invented the Hard Boiled® “hard hat,”

inspired by his doughboy army helmet and designed

for the specifc hazards miners faced. Bullard’s spir-

it of innovation, design and safety lives within the

foundation of our company. Today, Bullard’s safety

equipment protects you from the different dangers

on the front lines of emergencies, construction, heavy

industries, healthcare, and life sciences.

From Hard Hat To Fire Helmet

The Hard Boiled® hard hat’s popularity inspired the development of

the frst fre helmet. Bullard’s spirit of innovation and problem solv-

ing helped the Golden Gate Bridge engineer team, led by Joseph B

Strauss, to adapt Bullard’s hard hats to protect bridge workers. This

customer-focused innovation led to Bullard designing the frst sup-

plied-air respiratory system to protect steelworkers blasting the Gold-

en Gate Bridge.

The Spirit of Innovation Lives in Our Past, Present, and Future

Bullard has a rich history of solving customer problems in innovative

ways, enabling these customers to have long, healthy, and productive

lives. This legacy, which began with the invention of the hard hat,

continued through the 1930s with our supplied-air respirators and

our frst fre helmet, and propelled through to our powered air-purifying

respirators and thermal imagers.

Each of these safety-focused, customer-centric products has and con-

tinues to be designed for the experts in the industries Bullard serves

to help keep workers safe in Infrastructure, Energy, Pharmaceutical

Manufacturing, Healthcare, Emergency Responder roles, and many

others. Bullard stays at the forefront of safety in the workplace.

Bullard Means Tough. Bullard Means Trust.

Bullard’s ISO9001 certifcation is our standard. We remain commit-

ted to this uncompromising standard of quality when designing our

safety equipment. Every Bullard team member focuses on designing,

building, and promoting PPE to advance the safety of the people we

help protect.

Caring For Customers Around The World Like Family

Bullard is a ffth-generation family-owned business delivering inno-

vation that inspires safety across the globe. We have locations in

Kentucky, Germany, and Singapore.

Our Vision

Our vision is to advance human safety to enable long, healthy, produc-

tive lives through innovative solutions.

Light Weight with a Large Viewing Window. The helmet, suspen-

sion, lenses, and cheek pads have a combined weight of 2.6 pounds,

making the GVX one of the lightest Type CE abrasive blast helmets

on the market. The large, optically clear visor provides downward and

peripheral feld of view. The viewable area is approximately 9.75” wide

x 4” tall. The GVX comes with a replaceable inner lens made from

Tritan™ .040 thick PETG polymer. The “Grit Guard” reduces debris

in-between lenses. And the replaceable outer lens is available in .015”

or .40” thick PETG polymer. Additional tinted lenses are available in

green or smoke color.

All Day Comfort. Comfortable and customizable with soft brow sus-

pension, cheek, head, and ratchet padding that are machine washable

with easy tear down and build Hook & Loop system. The adjustable

cheek pads may allow increased stability and allows the user a more

personalized ft by being able to adjust how tight or loose the helmet

fts on their face.

Optimal Airflow. The connection of the breathing tube to the helmet

is centered on the base of the helmet, allowing the air to be delivered

from the base of the neck to over the head versus most abrasive blast

respirator hoods that have a point of attachment on the side of the

helmet. The GVX paired with Bullard’s AC1000 fow control, provides

air into the breathing zone for improved cooling without head chill and

can also help to reduce fogging. The GVX paired with Bullard’s HC2400

fow control can provide cooling or heating, allowing the user to work

in a wide variety of ambient temperatures.

Dependable and Durable. Soft goods, such as brow, cheek, head,

and ratchet pads, as well as tear off lenses are feld replaceable. This

makes it easier for the wearer to replace any piece without having to

replace the whole system which saves time and improves effcien-

cy. The GVX is durable in the sense that the shell is constructed

from High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), which is known for its high

strength-to-density ratio, while providing a sleek and tapered design.

and reliable respiratory protection for abrasive blasters

and painters.

Industrial

Maximum Protection in its Class. 88VX Series airline respirators

provide advanced protection in the harsh exposures of blasting and

painting. The snug, yet comfortable, sewn-in neck cuff provides a

physical barrier to airborne contaminants and helps maintain positive

pressure within the helmet. A double lining in the neck area enhances

durability and protection.

Remote Air Manifolds (RAM) are effective for air distribution

and regulation to multiple workers from a common source.

The unit enhances respirator-wearing worker mobility by

providing a NIOSH “Point of Attachment” (POA) for Supplied

Air Respiratory Systems. This RAM unit gives the users the

fexibility to work up to 300 feet from the air source.

Industrial

Durable Design Choices. RAM units come in two robust variants.

The portable units feature Polypropylene Pelican® cases, providing

mobility and protection for on-the-go applications. Alternatively, the

wall mount units are constructed from powder-coated steel, offering

a sturdy and fxed solution for air distribution.

Precise Air Pressure Regulation and Real-time Verification. The

RAM is equipped with a regulator that allows the adjustment of air

pressure within a specifed pressure range. A pressure gauge is

integrated into the RAM, facilitating the real-time verifcation of the

pressure setting at the point of attachment.

Multi-User Efficiency. The RAM system is designed to accommodate

varying team sizes, distributing air for 1, 2, 4, or 8 workers from a

single centralized source.

Compatible with:

CC20 | RT | Spectrum

GR50 | GVX | 88VX

*CAB, AirGuard or AirGladiator are

compatible and recommended.

Remote Alarms

Remote alarms enable an alarm to be placed where the

worker is operating. CAB or AirGuard must be placed in

clean air environments containing a continuous supply of

Grade D breathable air and away from the painting room or

abrasive blasting areas.

Industrial

Easy Visual Monitoring. Alarm sounds to 90 dB when CO level ex-

ceeds 10 ppm. which is the OSHA limit. 5 ppm is available. External

operation lights show green for normal and red for alarm.

*Requires CAB, or COHP

CO Monitors

Carbon Monoxide (CO) Monitor sounds an alarm and

Red Light illuminates when CO levels exceeds maximum

thresholds.

Adaptable Design. The CO Monitor offers remarkable adaptability. It

can be effortlessly transformed from a portable unit to a wall-mount-

ed system, thanks to its sturdy Polycarbonate Pelican® construction.

Variable Sensitivity. Standard CO monitors are set at a 10 ppm CO

level. Monitors are also available with a CO alarm set point of 5 ppm

to meet CSA and certain international requirements.

Comprehensive Alerts. Because safety is paramount, and the CO

Monitor refects this by providing both audible and visual alarms. With

a piercing 90 dB audible alarm, it ensures that high CO levels are

immediately recognized. Low Battery alarm is a chirping sound with a

“lb” symbol on the LED screen of the CO monitor, itself. This indicates

that the DC power - battery back up needs new batteries to continue

powering the CO monitor. A low fow alarm is also incorporated into

the CO Monitor. The low fow alarm will sound whenever the pressure

is too low for the CO Monitor to work correctly.

Efficient Calibration. Calibration is an essential process that can be

done quickly and effciently.

Versatile Power Options. The CO Monitor operates seamlessly with

a 9-volt battery, offering portability and fexibility. For continuous

power, it’s also compatible with 110-volt or 220-volt AC power. Addi-

tionally, all units come standard with backup battery power supply

capability, guaranteeing uninterrupted protection.
