COMPETITIONS

Well done to Conor Lanigan, Rory

Downey and Connor Slattery who won a

communications award at Scifest. Their

project was ‘Does colour affect the

perception of taste?’.

Ruairi O’ Byrne, Finn Rogers and Tommy

Griffin should also be proud of their

entry with their project ‘Will plants grow

in different liquids?’. Thank you to Ms.

Dunphy for her help in the lead up to the

competition.

Freddie Brazil, Alfie Dunphy, David Twomey

and Cian McCarthy attended the final of

the Young Environmental Awards in Dublin

with their project "Flying High". Their idea

of a bird house beside the nursing home

with a camera caught the eyes of the

judges in qualification. Well done to our

other teams, with Green Tramore getting

their whole class involved in a beach

clean.

Students had their showcase for Junk

Kouture. After months of work, students

displayed their costumes to students in the

school. All their costumes were made from

recycled material. They displayed amazing

creativity. Well done to the winning

costume which was created by Mia

Costello, Evie Burke, Laoise Murphy, Áine

Power and Ella Power.
