TY Summer Newsletter 2024 (1)

Welcome to interactive presentation, created with Publuu. Enjoy the reading!

Well done to all 47 TY students who

participated in the Bronze Gaisce hike

and cycle in May. Students who had

completed three key challenge areas of

community involvement, personal skill and

physical recreation went on to face the

tough challenge of the adventure journey.

They combined hiking and cycling on the

Greenway over two days. The weather

was horrific so they all truly deserve their

President’s Award. It shows the great

commitment and dedication of those who

received the award and we would like to

encourage students to continue on the

Gaisce Journey with the Silver award.

GAISCE AWARD

John Paul II award students were very busy after

Easter completing their JPII reflection and record

cards. The students worked very hard throughout

the

year

in

the

school

community

and

volunteering in the local church. Well done to all

the students who received their medals in the

cathedral from Bishop Alphonsus.

Three of our JP II students had the pleasure of

travelling to Medjugorje on a pilgrimage with the

Waterford Lismore diocese. It was an amazing,

enriching and spiritual experience for all

involved.
