LOOKING BACK AT APRIL
Our Drama Club put on four superb performances of their show ‘The Audition’. The
performances, work and effort put in by students and staff alike was outstanding!
THE AUDITION IS A HIT!
Leaving Certificate Technology students enjoying some well deserved tea
and biscuits as they reflect on the recent completion of practical projects
and folders and discuss revision plans for the upcoming LC exam.
APRIL NEWS
Some of our JPII Transition Year students made it to the top of Cross
Mountain, which is a mount above Medjugorje. It was a wonderful
experience for all involved in the pilgrimage.
TY TOUR TO MANCHESTER
Some great memories made on the TY school tour to Manchester.

ARDSCOIL FUNDRAISER LOTTO
Huge congratulations to our first Lotto Jackpot winner, Olive Cullinan.
Olive scooped a whopping €1600. Congratulations!

Purcell who spoke at the
DCU Climate Conference
Last Week. A wonderful
opportunity for her. Her
day was made when she
got to meet Mary
Robinson.
Congratulations to Cian McCarthy, Freddie Brazil, Alfie Dunphy and
David Twomey. Their group 'Flying High' was selected for the finals of
the Young Environmentalist Awards in Dublin.
APRIL NEWS
Two members of our Student Council Jill and Isabelle and our youth ambassadors
Chloe and ThuyNga, along with their teacher Ms Finucane, attended the annual
Edmund Rice and Walk in my shoes conference in Blarney Street, Cork.
French and Spanish students had an opportunity to purchase
crêpes or churros as part of our multicultural week. Great
excitement and the sun shone!
STRIDE TO SCHOOL CAMPAIGN
The Active Travel campaign has been a huge success in school this year. We have
been joined by many members of the community each Wednesday morning and
the final number of cars entering the campus on the last day was just 167. The
Active Travel Team were winners of the overall category of the Group Award at
the Waterford Division Garda Youth Awards. Well done to all involved!
APRIL NEWS
Damien Tiernan broadcast live from Ardscoil in April and spoke to many of
our students and staff about the wonderful intiatives happening in our
school this year.
Big Congratulations to TY students Conor Lanigan, Rory Downey and Connor
Slattery who won the Communications award at the regional Scifest competition
held in SETU for their project; ‘Does colour affect the perception of taste?’
Well done to Ruairí O Byrne, Finn Rogers and Tommy Griffin who also attended
with their project; ‘Will plants grow in different liquids?’
