COMMUNITY CHANGE-MAKERS OF THE MONTH

Today, we have the privilege of speaking with

Felicia Li, the founder of Rainbow Angels Bakery in

Beijing, China. Established in 2017, Rainbow

Angels Bakery is more than just a bakery— it is a

home to numerous hearing-impaired individuals,

offering them an opportunity to step into the

broader society, achieve financial independence,

and chase their dreams. Through Ms. Li's

dedication and leadership, the bakery has provided

free training to numerous hearing-impaired youths

from Beijing's rural areas. Join us as we delve into

the inspiring journey of Rainbow Angels Bakery

and explore the challenges and triumphs that have

shaped its mission.

Felicia Li: Of course. Rainbow Angels Bakery was

established in 2017. Initially, like many others, I was

a volunteer, dedicating my time to support hearing-

impaired individuals. In 2016, I was involved at the

most basic level of volunteering—donating my time,

offering compassion and empathy, and providing

food. By 2017, I realized that merely relying on

donations wasn't enough; the joy in their eyes was

fleeting, tied only to the moment of receiving.

First of all, may you please introduce the

background and mission of Rainbow Angels

Bakery?
