Doany
Limited Edition
For the 9th edition, we are continuing our social actions in Madagascar with the creation of 4 scented
candles covered in hand-crocheted raffia. The women of our cooperative refine their skills over
time, and under the impetus of our artistic direction, we can imagine more sophisticated patterns
with them and seek out organic dyes to produce more subtle raffia colors. It’s like magic, and we’re
proud to present this new collection. Doany means sacred site in Malagasy. We wanted to link the
name of the collection with the aboriginal motifs that represent these sacred sites, which are the
common thread running through our summer collection. Our cooperative is in the high plateau
region, surrounded by 12 sacred hills, of which we have chosen 4 to name each candle.

Ikaloy: the sacred hill of Madagascar’s first king
The Ikaloy scented candle is covered with raffia in shades of blue. A woven and embroidered motif
of the aboriginal sign representing sacred sites is repeated all around the candle in a graphic,
contemporary effect. Its aquatic, sunny fragrance, with scents of vetiver, salt flower and amber, is
an invitation to travel, transporting you to a world of the sea.
